Meet Dr. Taylor Perlman

Dr. Taylor Perlman is a licensed psychologist in New York and the founder of TP Psychology, PLLC. She is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) through Evergreen Certifications, reflecting advanced training and clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of ADHD across the lifespan. Dr. Perlman earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, following a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University.

Throughout her training and professional career, Dr. Perlman has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, hospital, community mental health, and psychological assessment settings. She has extensive experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations for a broad range of concerns, including ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral and emotional difficulties, personality functioning, memory concerns, cognitive decline, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Dr. Perlman has completed hundreds of hours of psychological testing and diagnostic assessment using standardized, evidence-based measures to answer meaningful clinical questions, clarify diagnoses, identify cognitive and emotional strengths and weaknesses, and develop individualized recommendations. Her evaluations integrate clinical interviews, behavioral observations, record review, and validated assessment instruments to provide a comprehensive understanding of each individual's functioning across cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive domains.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. Dr. Perlman integrates psychodynamic principles with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychoeducation, strengths-based interventions, behavioral strategies, skills-based interventions, and parent training to help clients develop insight, strengthen resilience, build practical coping skills and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
